Globe cancels rave review after 36 felled by salmonella

friday, Oct 9, the globe and mail posted online Joanne Kates’ rave review of Ruby, a chinese place in scarborough, just before news broke that Ruby was being closed order of health dept — 36 people sickened by salmonella and one suspected death. Review now deleted. rubyruby close

    Too bad the review made it in the BC edition. I was very surprised! I am very relieved Joanne survived her dinners there. What a way to go!

    The review was distributed to my neighbourhood, just a 90 minute drive from the restaurant.
