New Chef beat: Estelle Yip at Chef’s House

This is a great idea. Chef’s House, the George Brown restaurant, has begun a series featuring young chefs called Rising Stars.

On Wednesday, Jan 20, it will be Estelle Kip cooking the dinner. She’s  a veteran of Toronto restaurants and in 2008 won a grant from the James Beard Foundation in New York so she could go to Paris’ Cordon Bleu to study patisserie. Now she’s part of the team at the Calphalon Culinary Center .
