Perils of restaurant reviewing: Ruby

ruby closeRuby, the Chinese restaurant in Scarborough, which was closed by the health police, apparently failed not one but two inspections. However, if it can find a pest exterminator over the holiday weekend, it hopes to pass the health test stat.  Just hope the city keeps inspecting…

And I was wrong: the Globe and Mail’s  (very favourable) review of Ruby was taken off the website but still appeared in the paper. The G and M reported on Ruby’s closing today. No report that the critic Joanne Kates was taken ill.  I think that would be a first – a critic felled by salmonella.
